I have been coming to Penny's for over 15 years. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is great. You know you frequent a place when you start to place your order they already know who you are. That's what makes the atmosphere so special. It's a family owned restaurant and they have always been a delight to converse with. I'll eat there till I can't anymore.
Best steak sub I've ever had! Service was pretty good, did take quite a bit longer than we were told on the phone but it's worth the wait.
Everything is always fresh and delicious from the steak subs to the salads. I always stop by when dropping through Albemarle.
Solid deli. Good sandwiches. Plus, a lot of options if you're not in the mood for a Sub.

This is one of the best hole-in-the-wall/hidden gems/minority and family-owned joints you can find in Albemarle, NC. They offer a variety of food items from subs to pizza to burgers, sandwiches, wings, fried rice, you name it. But to be honest, I've come here for years and am very biased about their subs, especially the Super Sub and the popular Steak Sub, and their chicken wings. So, if you're new, I highly recommend starting off with those. The perks of this place is that it's simple, no frills, run by family, food is served hot and freshly made. Right now, with the pandemic still ongoing, they're not doing dine-in but are offering pickup. So, if you're ever in the area, stop by this shopping center, skip the Cici's and support this local joint.
Best steak subs ever! The meat is so tender and juicy it's just dripping off! I love it. Oh and don't forget the fries! Yummy. Only thing is that it's a little expensive for the combo but well worth it. Don't let the little hole in the wall scare you from trying it. You won't regret it. And the family that runs the business is super nice and they get to know their customers
